Original Paintings
I interned with an Illustration Rep in NYC back in 2003. I mostly delivered portfolios on foot from one side of the city to the other. One day, I passed a man on the corner yelling at people as they walked by. As I approached him to turn the corner and he looked me square in the eye - "Lady, you're your own worst enemy!" he shouted at me. He wasn't wrong...I was in a horrible place at that time of my young adulthood. My face probably said it all. I had been struggling with my mental health since my teenage years. Depression overpowers at times and the struggle to stay positive is real.
When I'm stuck in the darkness - I search for color. Flowers and nature bring a sense of hope.
These are my Flower Heads - think good thoughts and flowers will grow out of your head. Gentle reminder to stay on the path of positivity.

Torn pages from the November 2021 Edition of Our Town Rahway is the first layer of this 16"x20" piece. All of the articles published in this community newspaper, by Renna Media, are printed in the hopes of having a positive influence on the economic development and overall well-being of my hometown. The newspapers deliver important information from the departments in town hall, schools, and libraries, and give a venue to non-profit organizations to promote upcoming events as well as to showcase the accomplishments of local residents and businesses. - SOLD! |
